Safety & Training Advisor - Underground & Open Pit

Highgrade are recruiting for an experienced Safety & Training Advisor for our clients mining operation outside of Kalgoorlie/Boulder.

Initially the role will solely be working with the UG operation however in the new year work will commence in the open pits so candidates will ideally have experience in both forms of mining but not essential.

7/7 or 8/6 roster ideally but client is flexible to discuss other options, Kalgoorlie residential role, FIFO not considered. DIDO to site with transport provided.

Some tasks will include:

Manage and support onboarding activities (Site Access) including the issuing, conducting inductions, VOC competency management and reporting

General data entry – scanning/ printing/ filing

Assist with internal audits and inspections as required. This includes workshop/ mining/ core farm/ UG/ first aid facilities. audit print Outs and uploading into WHS monitoring

Fitness for work screening. breathos conducted at prestart and random/ causal drug screening

WHS monitoring data entry

On call medic when rostered on. First Aider on site

Scheduling / coordination of quarterly safety checks ie refuge chambers, slings harness testing


Requirements:

Operational Underground Mining Experience
Minimum of Cert IV in OHS
Cert IV in Training and Assessing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to liaise with all levels of the company

Candidate must be able to also meet the below minimum criteria:

Pass a pre-employment medical & D&A screen - HGP pay for this
Provide us with a recent national police clearance
Hold a valid manual driver's licence
Provide us with contactable referees
