Surveyor - Mining Open Pit

Kalgoorlie - Residential

Key Duties:

• Surface Survey Control Network installation and maintenance
• Drill and Blast surveys
• Ensuring Open Pit and Waste Dump is mined to design with the use of crest pegs, toe pegs, ramp pegs and TBMs
• Ore mark-ups
• Geological/Geotechnical structure surveys
• EOM volumes
• Stockpile surveys and volumes
• Prism monitoring 
• Infrastructure surveys near mine
• Water level surveys.
• Exploration/grade control surveys

The ideal applicant will have:

• Minimum 2 years survey experience within metalliferous open cut mining
• Tertiary qualified Mine Surveyor, working towards an Authorised Mine Surveyor Certificate
• Experience within hard rock underground mining would also be highly regarded
• Current unrestricted WA C class licence
• Proficiency in Surpac mining software, will be highly regarded
• Proficiency in the use Trimble survey equipment, will be highly regarded
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software preferable
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently, with a high regard for personal and team safety
• Ability to continually review current practices and suggest improvements
• Good communication and team work skills essential
